City of medecine

Durham
Durham is both urban and rural, two worlds in one, with a high quality of life. Diverse, progressive, artistic, educated, friendly — it is known as the “City of Medicine” and the “Bull City.” Home to the Duke Blue Devils and the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team, the area is also adjacent to world renowned tech hub, Research Triangle Park.

The city is also recognized for its top tier academic institutions: Duke University, NC School for Science and Math, and the Durham School of the Arts. Outdoor attractions include the Eno River, Falls Lake, and the American Tobacco Trail with a 22-mile stretch of greenways. The national accolades it has earned as a place to live, work, and play only prove what anyone who’s been here has already experienced – and experience is the key.

Downtown features the Durham Performing Arts Center and the Museum of Life and Science. For the ultimate destination in shopping, The Streets at Southpoint feature many favorite retailers (Nordstrom, Crate&Barrel, etc.). It has been called the “foodie capital of the South” and the “South’s tastiest town”.

With access to world class medical care, natural escapes,  great restaurants and rich performing arts, Durham is a dynamic place to live and work.
